In new condition.  Includes original box, original instructions, 7rd magazine,  seven CAW real look/size .45ACP dummy rounds,  

Full Colt Markings.  No visible makers name (CAW).

Brief info on the M1911A1 Commercial / Military Model

Colt Model 1911A1 .45 ACP.  6,575 unsold commercial Government Model pistols transferred by Colt to their existing Military contract (No. W-478-ORD-1528).  The GOVERNMENT MODEL inscription on the frame was removed and was restamped UNITED STATES PROPERTY in its place and M1911A1 U.S. ARMY in front of the pin for the takedown lever.   The commercial serial numbers were removed and they were renumbered in the military serial number range beginning with number 860003.  Then the guns were parkerized.

According to Charles W. Clawson's book, this Colt made 6,575 commercial government model M1911A1's that were converted to military production, approximate serial number range 860,003-867,000. Due to the need of pistols for the war effort in 1942 Colt stopped their commercial production and unsold commercial pistols were transferred to military production. During that process, the C prefix serial number was peened flat and new military serial number along with other military proofs such as "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" were added.
