CAW Colt S.A.A. .45 Cavalry 7 1/2in barrel
In new condition. A very nice heavyweight revolver with nice weight and feel. Includes six CAW S.A.A. .45 cartridges (reusable). Cartridges take 2x 7mm PFC caps for a loud bang. Boxed with instructions.
The original Colt SAA (Single Action Army) .45 was first produced in 1873 and is one of the few revolvers still in production today. The S.A.A. was used by the US military from it's introduction through the Spanish American War & Philippine insurrection. This classic model was unquestionably the most popular revolver of late 1800s and can be seen in most if not all cowboy films and is often referred to as the gun that won the west. It was favoured by the U.S. army and cavalry and by most law enforcers such as The Earp Brothers, Masterson Brothers, Pat Garrett as well as "Buffalo Bill" Cody and Jesse James to name a few, the list goes on.
